English-Maori Glossary of Occupational Safety and Health Terms

He Rārangi Kupu i te reo Pākehā me te reo Māori e pā ana ki te Ārai Aituā me te Hauora i Te Wāhi Mahi

This is a glossary of over 200 common occupational safety and health terms, drawn from occupational safety and health legislation, codes of practice, guidelines and other publications.

Alphabetically arranged, the head words and definitions are given first in English, then in Maori. In some cases, line drawings are used to make the meanings clearer.

This glossary has been compiled as an aid for English-Maori translators; Maori safety and health professionals; and Maori language teachers, speakers and learners and anyone with an interest in the language of safety and health.
