Dough Dividing Machines - Guarding of
Dough dividing machines have caused serious accidents, most occurring during cleaning operations and at the end of a run of dough.
This publication provides guidance on guarding these machines, to meet the requirements of the Machinery Act. The baking industry has experimented with interlocking devices which allow machines to be cleaned without the hazard of inadvertent starting of the machines. Photographs of some prototypes are included here.
