How to notify The Department:

• Serious harm and accidents
   
  • If the notification relates to:
    • ships - contact Maritime New Zealand
    • aircraft in operation - contact the Civil Aviation Authority
    • commercial vehicles - contact the Department of Labour, who will co-ordinate any follow up with the Commercial Vehicle Investigation Unit of New Zealand Police
       
• Notifiable occupational disease
   
• Particular hazardous work
   
• Interest in knowing of enforcement action
   
• Exposure to asbestos
